APPLICATION INFORMATION
- Recommended Dosage: The optimal dosage should be determined through trial mixes. As a starting point, the following dosages are suggested:
- Normal concrete: 0.8-2.0 liters per 100kg of total cementitious material
- High-performance microsilica concrete: 1.5-3.0 liters per 100kg of total cementitious material
A higher dosage may be used if necessary without adverse effects on the concrete.
- Dispensing: Sikament® RB 850 PK is a ready-to-use liquid that should be added with the mixing water. The plasticizing effect and water reduction are maximized when the admixture is introduced after 50-70% of the mixing water has been added. Adding it directly to dry aggregate or cement is not recommended.
- Compatibility: Sikament® RB 850 PK is compatible with all cements and most air-entraining agents that meet ASTM standards. It is recommended for use with an air-entraining agent when freeze-thaw resistance is needed.
