SikaRapid®-1 is a liquid hardening accelerator for concrete and mortar that meets the requirements for hardening accelerators to EN 934-2. It promotes early strength development without negatively affecting final strengths – depending on dosage, early strength in the first 24 hours can be increased substantially.

SikaRapid®-1 is a liquid hardening accelerator for concrete and mortar that meets the requirements for hardening accelerators to EN 934-2. It promotes early strength development without negatively affecting final strengths - depending on dosage, early strength in the first 24 hours can be increased substantially. It does not contain chlorides or other steel-corrosion-promoting ingredients and is suitable for reinforced concrete. When used with a superplasticiser it does not change the fresh concrete properties produced by that superplasticiser.

Application Guide (5 Easy Steps)

01
Determine Dosage

Establish the dosage by trial mixes; early-strength gain depends on dosage. Confirm the range from the current Sika Pakistan PDS.

Dispensing

Add SikaRapid-1 to the concrete with the mixing water. When used with a superplasticiser, add as directed so as not to alter the mix.

Mixing

Mix thoroughly for uniform dispersion.

Trials

Carry out laboratory trials before site concreting, especially for new mix designs.

Curing

Cure the fresh concrete properly, especially at high temperatures, using Sika Antisol products or wet hessian.
