SikaPlast®-250 is a high-performance superplasticizer and water-reducing agent for concrete.

USES
SikaPlast®-250 is a versatile superplasticizer, particularly beneficial for ready-mix production. It allows for significant water reduction and enhances the overall quality of the concrete mix. It is ideal for:

• Ready Mix concrete
• Concrete requiring substantial water reduction
• High-performance concrete applications
• Projects that need various concrete strengths, utilizing different raw materials and mix designs on-site.

APPROVALS / CERTIFICATES
SikaPlast®-250 meets the requirements of high-range water-reducing / superplasticizing admixtures according to EN 934-2:2009+A1:2012, with Declaration of Performance 42475323 and CE marking.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

• Chemical Base: Aqueous solution of modified polycarboxylate polymers
• Packaging: Available in IBCs (220 kg), 20 kg containers, and bulk upon request
• Appearance / Color: Brown liquid
• Shelf Life: 8 months from production date

Storage
Store in original, sealed, undamaged containers in a dry location, at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C. Protect from direct sunlight and freezing conditions.

• Density: ~1.11 kg/l (at +20°C)
• pH-Value: 7.0 – 9.0 (at +20°C)
• Chloride Ion Content: Free (EN 934.01)

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

• Concreting Guidance: Follow standard best practices for concrete production and placement. Conduct laboratory trials before adopting a new mix or using new raw materials. Proper curing of fresh concrete is essential.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

• Recommended Dosage: 0.5 – 2.0% by weight of cement
• Compatibility: Can be combined with the following Sika products:
  • Sika® Plastiment® series
  • Sikament® series
  • Sika® Plastocrete® N, Sika®-1+, Sika® WT-200 P
  • Sika® Ferrogard®-901 S
  • Sika® Visco I-100
  • Sikafume® HR-E, Sikacrete® AR
  • Sika-Aer® Fine
    Pre-application trials are recommended for product combinations.
• Dispensing: SikaPlast®-250 should be added to the mixing water at the plant or directly into the concrete mixer on-site. A minimum mixing time of 60 seconds per cubic meter is advised, but this may vary based on mixing conditions.
• Restrictions: Ensure a suitable mix design and trial local materials before use.
  • Do not add SikaPlast®-250 directly to dry cement. It should be mixed with the water or added at the end of the mixing process.
  • Suitability tests should be carried out before use.
