Uses
Sika® Chapdur® Premix is intended for use by professionals with experience. It is applied to concrete slab surfaces to enhance their resistance to abrasion and reduce dust formation. It is ideal for floors that experience heavy mechanical wear, such as:
- Warehouses, docks, and traffic lanes
- Workshops
- Parking lots, service stations, garages, etc.
Characteristics / Advantages
- Excellent abrasion resistance
- Reduces surface dust
- Enhances impact resistance
- Increases the hardness of the concrete surface
- Easy application: Simply sprinkle onto freshly placed concrete
- Saves time and reduces labor costs, as it eliminates the need for a monolithic screed
- Provides a smooth, even finish when properly troweled
Sustainability
- VOC Content: < 0 g/L

System Structure
Use the following products as outlined in their respective product data sheets:
- Substrate: Fresh concrete slab (See Substrate Quality below)
- Dryshake: Manual or machine application of Sika® Chapdur® Premix
- Surface Levelling: Use power trowel or laser screed
- Final Smoothing: Achieved with a power trowel
- Curing Compound: After smoothing, protect the surface by applying a curing compound (Antisol-90) at an approximate dosage of 100–150 g/m² to prevent early drying, crazing, and blooming.
Application Information
- Consumption: 3.0 to 5.0 kg/m², resulting in a surface-strengthening layer of approximately 2-3 mm thickness
- Ambient Air Temperature: Minimum +5°C, maximum +35°C
- Relative Air Humidity: Minimum 30% RH, maximum 98% RH
- Substrate Temperature: Minimum +5°C, maximum +35°C
Product Curing Times
- Foot traffic:
- 10°C: ~18 hours
- 20°C: ~12 hours
- 30°C: ~8 hours
- Fully serviceable:
- 10°C: ~10 days
- 20°C: ~7 days
- 30°C: ~5 days
These times depend on the concrete reaching its design strength for serviceability and are influenced by changes in ambient temperature and relative humidity.
