Sika®-101h — Cement-Based Crystalline Capillary Waterproofing Coating

Sika®-101h is a ready-to-use, cement-based crystalline capillary waterproofing system for concrete and mortar. Mixed with water to a brushable slurry, it forms insoluble crystals inside the water-bearing capillaries of the substrate, sealing against further seepage. It can be used for positive and negative side waterproofing, seals hairline cracks and becomes an integral, homogeneous part of the structure.

Storage

Store in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions, off the ground. Refer to the PDS for exact storage temperature and shelf life.

Application guide

Application guide (5 easy steps)

  1. Substrate PreparationThe substrate must be sound, clean and free from laitance, dust, oil and loose material. Saturate the surface with water to a saturated surface-dry (damp, not wet) condition before application.
  2. MixingAdd the powder to the given amount of water and stir with a low-speed mixer for about 5 minutes until a lump-free, smooth, brushable slurry is achieved.
  3. First CoatApply the first coat by brush or roller, working the crystalline slurry well into the surface.
  4. Second CoatApply the second coat while the first is still tacky (or lightly re-wet if it has set), building the system to the required coverage.
  5. CuringKeep the coating damp and protect from rapid drying so the crystalline reaction can develop.
