Sikalastic®-510 PK – Single-Component Acrylic Liquid-Applied Waterproofing Membrane

Sikalastic®-510 PK is a flexible, single-component, liquid-applied acrylic waterproofing membrane that is UV- and weather-resistant, for all types of exposed roof slabs (new and old) and terraces (sloped and flat). Applied cold, it cures to a seamless, elastic membrane, and when combined with Sika Fab-1 glass-fibre mesh it forms a highly durable reinforced waterproofing system. Suitable for hot and tropical climatic conditions.

Application Guide (5 Easy Steps)

Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be sound, clean and free from dust, laitance, oil and loose material. Repair cracks and defects and prime as required; allow the primer to cure.

Detailing

Reinforce upstands, joints and penetrations with Sika Fab-1 mesh bedded into a base coat of the membrane.

First Coat

Stir the product and apply the first coat evenly by brush, roller or airless spray at the specified consumption, embedding mesh where a reinforced system is used.

Further Coats

Apply the second (and third if specified) coat after the indicated waiting time, cross-wise, to build the required total thickness.

Curing

Protect from rain and ponding until fully cured. Allow to develop full properties before foot traffic.
