Sikalastic® 550

The substrate must be sound, clean and free from dust, laitance, oil and loose material. Repair defects and prime as required using the appropriate Sika primer; allow the primer to cure tack-free.

Treat details, upstands and movement areas first, reinforcing with Sikalastic Fleece / Reemat where high movement, irregular substrate or crack-bridging is required.

Apply the first coat evenly by brush, roller or airless spray at the specified consumption. For reinforced systems, roll the fleece into the wet coat avoiding bubbles and creases, with minimum 5 cm overlaps.

Apply the second (and third, if specified) coat after the indicated waiting time, ensuring full and even coverage to the required total thickness.

Allow the membrane to cure fully. Protect from rain, ponding water and traffic until cured as stated in the PDS.
