Sika® Armatec®-110 EpoCem® is a three-component, epoxy-modified, cementitious coating used as a bonding primer and as reinforcement corrosion protection within concrete repair systems. Applied to prepared concrete and exposed steel, it gives active and barrier corrosion protection to the reinforcement and an excellent bonding bridge for subsequent Sika repair mortars.

Storage

Store in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry, cool conditions, protected from frost and direct sunlight. Refer to the PDS for exact storage temperature and shelf life.

Application Guide (5 Easy Steps)

01
Preparation

Prepare the concrete and clean the exposed steel reinforcement (e.g. abrasive blasting) to remove rust, scale and contaminants.

Mixing

Blend the three components in the correct sequence and ratio with a low-speed mixer to a uniform, lump-free consistency.

03
Reinforcement Coating

Apply two coats to the prepared steel by brush, coating the back of bars; allow the correct interval between coats.

04
Bonding Primer

Apply as a bonding bridge to the prepared concrete and place the repair mortar within the open time (wet-on-wet as specified).

05
Repair

Apply the selected Sika repair mortar per its own data sheet within the bonding-bridge open time.
