Intraplast Z is a powder-based grout admixture that promotes expansion and improves fluidity by introducing micro bubbles into the mix. This results in wet volume expansion and enhanced cohesion without segregation.
Uses:
Intraplast Z is ideal for improving cohesion in cement-based grouts, especially for grouting applications such as:
- Pre-stressed cable ducts
- Rock and soil anchoring
- Bearing plates
- Pre-placed aggregates
- Tunnel linings
- Pre-cast concrete elements
- Tilt construction wall panels
- Crack injection
Characteristics / Advantages:
- Enhances grout strength by plasticizing the mix.
- Gas produced during setting creates expansion (3%-8% by volume), compensating for shrinkage.
- Retards the setting process to improve grout penetration, reduce bleeding, and prevent water separation.
- Expansive forces ensure complete void filling.

Application Information:
- Recommended Dosage: 0.2%-2% by weight of cement, with a typical dosage of 0.5%. Exact dosage should be determined through trial mixes.
- Note: High alumina cement or cement with high fly-ash content is not suitable for use with Intraplast Z.
Application Instructions:
- Application Method / Tools: Mix with cement and add directly to the gauging water. Stir continuously. For pre-stressed concrete, mix for 3 minutes with a W/C ratio of 0.42. Do not add sand to the mix.
- Cleaning of Tools: Clean tools with water while the material is still fresh. Once hardened, material can only be removed mechanically.
