MRheobuild 561M 561 M meets the requirements of:

• ASTM C494, Type G
• EN 934-2

Good concreting practices must be followed when using MRheobuild 561M. It is essential to properly cure fresh concrete, especially in high-temperature conditions, to prevent plastic and drying shrinkage. Sika® Antisol® curing agents or wet hessian are recommended for curing.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

• Composition: Sulphonated naphthalene
• Packaging: 1000 L flowbin or bulk supply in tanker
• Shelf Life: 12 months from production date, if stored correctly
• Storage Conditions: Store in unopened, undamaged, and original packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5°C and +50°C. Mix well before use.
• Appearance/Colour: Dark brown liquid
• Density: ~1.22 kg/l (+25°C)
• Total Chloride Ion Content: Nil (EN 934-2)

APPLICATION INFORMATION

• Recommended Dosage: 0.8% – 2.0% by weight of binder. Other dosages may be used depending on the mix design, raw materials, climatic conditions, and concrete requirements. Trial mixes should be conducted to determine the optimal dosage.
• Dispensing: MRheobuild 561M M should be added to the concrete mix as a separate component. For best results, introduce the admixture after adding the first 80% of the mixing water, ensuring that all solids are wetted. Avoid adding it directly to dry aggregates.
• Compatibility: MRheobuild 561M is compatible with all types of cement and supplementary cementitious materials, including Microsilica (Silica Fume), Fly Ash (PFA), and GGBS (Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag). It also works well with other Sika® products, such as SikaPump®, Sika®FerroGard®, SikaFume®, SikaFiber®, Sika®Aer, Sika®Stabilizer, and SikaControl®. Trial mixes should be performed when combining with these or other admixtures, and consultation with Sika Technical Department is recommended.
