MRheobuild 858 is a powerful dual-action liquid superplasticizer that provides excellent slump retention for extended periods. It is chloride-free and specially formulated for use in hot and tropical climates.

Product Information

• Composition: Sulphonated naphthalene blend
• Packaging: 1000 L flowbin, bulk supply available on request
• Appearance: Dark brown liquid
• Shelf Life: 12 months from production date if stored correctly
• Storage Conditions: Keep in unopened, undamaged, original packaging in dry conditions, with temperatures between +5°C and +45°C. Protect from direct sunlight and frost. Mix well before use.
• Density: Approximately 1.23 kg/l (+25°C)
• Total Chloride Ion Content: Nil (EN 934-2)

Technical Information
Follow standard concrete practices during production and placement when using SMRheobuild 858. Ensure proper curing, especially in high temperatures, to avoid plastic and drying shrinkage. Sika® Antisol® or wet hessian can be used as curing agents.

Application Information

• Recommended Dosage: 0.8 – 2.5% by weight of binder. Adjust dosages based on mix design, raw materials, climatic conditions, and concrete requirements. Conduct trial mixes to determine the exact dosage.
• Dispensing: Add MRheobuild 858 to the gauging water or mix it simultaneously with the water in the concrete mixer. Do not add it directly to the dry mix. To optimize water reduction, ensure thorough mixing for at least 60 seconds. The remaining gauging water can be added after two-thirds of the wet mixing time to avoid excess water.

Compatibility
MRheobuild 858 is compatible with all types of cement and supplementary cementitious materials, such as microsilica (silica fume), fly ash (PFA), and GGBS (ground granulated blast furnace slag). It is also compatible with Sika products, including:
