Description
Sika® ViscoCrete®-HT-P-58 PK is a high-performance, water-reducing, slump-retaining, and superplasticizing admixture for concrete and mortar. Utilizing Sika’s advanced ‘ViscoCrete®’ polycarboxylate polymer technology (3rd generation), it offers multiple benefits for construction projects.
Key Benefits:
- Minimizes shrinkage during curing and reduces creep in hardened concrete
- Chloride-free, ensuring no corrosion risk for steel reinforcement
- Slows the rate of carbonation in concrete
- Vibration-free application, eliminating noise pollution
- Ideal for use in hot weather and improves pumpability with long-lasting consistency
Uses
Sika® ViscoCrete®-HT-P-58 PK is highly effective in the following applications:
- Piling applications, including Continuous Flight Auger (C.F.A.)
- Concrete containing supplementary materials like GGBS, microsilica, and fly ash
- Concrete exposed to hot, windy conditions or requiring extended workability and transportation
- Ready-mixed and high-performance concrete production
- Creation of impermeable, dense, and smooth-surfaced concrete for watertight applications
- Self-compacting concrete (SCC) production
- Manufacturing of complex and fine elements like slabs, foundations, beams, columns, and walls, even in areas with dense reinforcement
Certifications
Sika® ViscoCrete®-HT-P-58 PK complies with ASTM C-494, Type G.
Characteristics / Advantages
Sika® ViscoCrete®-HT-P-58 PK is an efficient superplasticizer that works through various mechanisms, such as surface adsorption and steric effects, to separate cement particles. The key advantages include:
- High water reduction, leading to denser, stronger, and less permeable concrete
- Excellent plasticizing effect, improving flow, placement, and compaction characteristics
