DESCRIPTION
Sikadur®-506 is a high-performance, two-component, solvent-free, epoxy-based repair and bonding compound designed for structural concrete repairs. It is a thixotropic resin system that provides excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, including concrete, stone, metal, and masonry. Sikadur®-506 is ideal for both horizontal and vertical applications, offering superior strength and durability, even in challenging environments. It is used primarily for filling, bonding, and repairing cracks, holes, and surface defects in concrete structures.
USES
Sikadur®-506 is ideal for:
- Concrete Repairs: Filling cracks, voids, and surface defects in concrete and masonry.
- Bonding: Bonding new concrete to old concrete, repairing concrete surfaces, and bonding different materials such as metal and wood to concrete.
- Structural Reinforcement: Used in structural applications where additional strength and reinforcement are required.
- Industrial Applications: Suitable for use in industrial floors, bridges, tunnels, and other high-stress environments where the material must endure mechanical loads and chemical exposure.
- Underwater Use: It is suitable for use in damp conditions and even underwater applications, such as repairing submerged structures.
- Vertical and Overhead Applications: Due to its thixotropic nature, it is well-suited for vertical and overhead repairs without sagging.
CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES
- High Adhesion: Sikadur®-506 provides excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates, including concrete, stone, masonry, and metals.
