Usage: Sikadure 54 Ceramic is primarily used for the installation of ceramic tiles in challenging environments. Its key uses include:

• Bonding ceramic tiles on walls and floors in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Suitable for use in high-moisture areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, swimming pools, and spas.
• Ideal for areas subject to exposure to chemicals or extreme temperatures, such as laboratories, factories, and outdoor environments.

Application:

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and free from any dust, dirt, oil, grease, or old adhesives. Any loose or damaged material should be removed, and any surface imperfections should be corrected before applying the adhesive.
2. Mixing the Adhesive: Sikadure 54 Ceramic is a two-component system. Mix the base and hardener in the correct proportions as specified by the manufacturer. Stir the mixture thoroughly until it is smooth and homogeneous, ensuring no streaks remain.
3. Applying the Adhesive: Apply the mixed adhesive onto the prepared surface using a notched trowel. Spread evenly and ensure sufficient coverage to create a strong bond between the tile and the surface.
4. Tiling: Press the ceramic tiles firmly into the adhesive bed, ensuring proper alignment and uniform coverage. For larger tiles, a slight twisting motion can help ensure maximum contact with the adhesive.
5. Curing: Allow the adhesive to cure as per the manufacturer’s guidelines. Full strength is typically achieved within 24-48 hours, depending on temperature and humidity conditions.
6. Clean-Up: Clean any excess adhesive immediately using a suitable solvent, such as acetone or isopropyl alcohol, before the adhesive sets. Once cured, the adhesive becomes more difficult to remove.
