SikaEmaco® S 488 is a single-component, high-strength, high-modulus, shrinkage-compensated structural repair mortar that complies with EN 1504-3, class R4. When mixed with water, it forms a thixotropic mortar that is easily applied using a trowel or spray method.

- Cooling towers, chimneys, and industrial structures
- Water treatment plants and sewer facilities, prior to coating
- Tunnels, pipes, outfalls, and other below-ground constructions
- Marine structures
CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES

APPLICATION INFORMATION

- Consumption: Approx. 1,850 kg of powder needed for 1 m³ of fresh mortar. A 25 kg bag yields approximately 13 to 13.5 l of mortar
- Layer Thickness: 6 to 40 mm per layer
- Product Temperature: +5 to +30 °C
- Ambient Air Temperature: +5 to +35 °C
- Mixing Ratio: 3.5 to 4.0 l of water per 25 kg bag
