DESCRIPTION
A low-emission, versatile dispersion primer used before applying leveling compounds.
USES
Sikafloor®-01 Primer is ideal for pre-treating floors when diluted as recommended. It is for interior use only and serves as a primer to reduce absorbency, enhance adhesion to smooth, stable surfaces, and protect the substrate from moisture from cement-based leveling compounds or tile adhesives.
CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES
- Reduces absorbency
- Enhances adhesion on smooth, solid substrates
- Protects substrates from moisture in leveling compounds
- Designed for interior applications
- Low consumption, high coverage
- Suitable for use on underfloor heating systems
- Quick drying time
- Compatible with many substrates
- Can be sprayed for easy application
- Can be diluted with water
- Ready to use
- Provides grip enhancement
SUSTAINABILITY
- EMICODE EC 1PLUS: very low emission
- EPD according to ISO 14025 and EN 15804
- Solvent-free as per TRGS 610

APPLICATION INFORMATION
- Substrates:
- Concrete
- Cement and rapid cement screeds
- Calcium sulfate-based screeds
- Old substrates with old water-resistant adhesive residues (mostly removed)
- Dry screeds
- Wooden OSB and chipboard floors
- Mastic asphalt screeds IC 10 and IC 15 (EN 13 813)
- Mixing Ratio:
- For normal absorbent substrates (cementitious screeds, rapid cement screeds, or concrete): 1 kg Sikafloor®-01 Primer : 3 L water
- For calcium sulfate-based substrates: 1 kg Sikafloor®-01 Primer : 1 L water
- For non-absorbent or low-absorbent smooth, stable substrates (ceramic tiles, old adhesive residues, OSB or chipboard, mastic asphalt screeds IC 10 and IC 15): Apply undiluted
- Consumption: ~70 g/m² (dependent on substrate absorbency, applicator device, and mixing ratio)
- Ambient Air Temperature: +5°C min. / +30°C max.
- Substrate Temperature: +5°C min. / +30°C max.
Waiting Time / Overcoating
Before applying cementitious self-leveling compounds or tile adhesives, wait the following times:
- Normal absorbent substrates (Cementitious): ~10 minutes
- Calcium sulfate-based substrates (if using calcium sulfate-based leveling compounds): ~10 minutes
- Calcium sulfate-based substrates (if using cement-based leveling compounds): ~24 hours
- Non-absorbent or low-absorbent substrates (OSB, chipboards): ~2 hours
- Other non-absorbent or low-absorbent substrates (ceramic tiles, old adhesive residues, mastic asphalt screeds IC 10 and IC 15): ~12 hours
Note: Times are approximate and may vary based on environmental conditions. Refer to the product data sheets of leveling compounds and tile adhesives for specific instructions.
