DESCRIPTION
Sikafloor®-3240 is a two-component, solvent-free, colored self-smoothing polyurethane (PUR) resin with tough-elastic properties. It utilizes Sika’s innovative i-Cure technology to enhance surface appearance and minimize sensitivity to ambient humidity during application. This product is also suitable for use in hot and tropical climates.

USES
Sikafloor®-3240 is intended for use by experienced professionals. It is ideal for:

• A smooth, crack-bridging surface for industrial floors in production and storage facilities, workshops, etc.
• A broadcast surface for crack-bridging applications in wet areas, such as food and beverage industries, car park decks, and loading ramps.
• Suitable for use on asphalt surfaces and in indoor environments like shopping centers, exhibition halls, and storage areas.

• Synthetic resin screed material according to EN 13813:2002, CE marked.
• Surface protection coating for concrete as per EN 1504-2:2004, CE marked.
• Emission testing in line with the German AgBB scheme (ISO-16000).
• Fire classification according to DIN EN 13501-1.
• Outgassing VOC emission certification: Cleanroom Suitable Materials – CSM, tested by IPA.
• Biological resistance class “Good,” tested per ISO 846.
• Riboflavin test results: Excellent.
• Paint compatibility and crack-bridging properties testing available.
• Slip resistance classification as per DIN 51131.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

• Composition: Polyurethane (PUR)
• Packaging: Part A (20.25 kg) and Part B (4.75 kg) containers, mixed to 25.0 kg units
• Appearance / Colour: Part A (colored liquid), Part B (transparent liquid)
• Shelf Life: 12 months from production date
• Storage Conditions: Store in original, unopened, undamaged packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C.
• Density: Part A ~1.4 kg/l, Part B ~1.3 kg/l, Mixed resin (1:0.5 ratio) ~1.6 kg/l
• Solid Content: ~100% by weight and volume.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

• Shore D Hardness: ~60 (7 days at 23°C, 50% RH)
• Abrasion Resistance: ~65 mg (14 days at 23°C, 50% RH)
• Tensile Strength: ~14 N/mm² (14 days at 23°C, 50% RH)
• Elongation at Break: ~90% (28 days at 23°C, 50% RH)
• Tensile Adhesion Strength: >1.5 N/mm² (failure in concrete)

APPLICATION INFORMATION

• Mixing Ratio: Part A : Part B = 81:19 (by weight)
• Consumption: Refer to the System Data Sheets for detailed guidance.
• Ambient Temperature: +10°C min. / +30°C max.
• Relative Humidity: ~75-80%
• Dew Point: Ensure substrate and uncured floor are at least 3°C above dew point to avoid condensation or surface blooming.
• Substrate Temperature: +10°C min. / +30°C max.
• Substrate Moisture Content: <4% pbw moisture (measured by Sika®-Tramex meter or similar methods).

Pot Life

• At +10°C: ~40 minutes
• At +20°C: ~30 minutes
• At +30°C: ~20 minutes

Curing Time

• Before overcoating:
  • +10°C: 30 to 72 hours
  • +20°C: 24 to 48 hours
  • +30°C: 16 to 36 hours
    If the maximum waiting time is exceeded, the surface must be ground for mechanical bonding between layers.

Applied Product Ready for Use

• Foot Traffic:
  • At +10°C: 1 day
  • At +20°C: 12 hours
  • At +30°C: 8 hours
• Light Traffic:
  • At +10°C: 3 days
  • At +20°C: 2 days
  • At +30°C: 1 day
• Full Cure:
  • At +10°C: 9 days
  • At +20°C: 5 days
  • At +30°C: 3 days
