USES
Sikafloor®-82 EpoCem® is intended for use by skilled professionals only. It serves as a Temporary Moisture Barrier (TMB) with a thickness of 3-7 mm, enabling the application of resin-based floors (Epoxy, Polyurethane, and PMMA*) on high-moisture substrates, including green concrete, providing a durable solution. It is also used as a self-smoothing screed for:

  • Leveling or patching horizontal concrete surfaces, whether new or in repair, in chemically aggressive environments
  • Floor topping for non-ventilated damp substrates, where aesthetics are not a primary concern
  • A leveling layer beneath Epoxy, Polyurethane, PMMA coatings, tiles, carpets, sheet floors, or wooden floors
  • Repair and maintenance of monolithic and vacuum concrete floors
Designed for use on cementitious substrates:
  • Suitable for moisture control (Principle 2, Method 2.3 of EN 1504-9)
  • Suitable for physical resistance (Principle 5, Method 5.1 of EN 1504-9)
  • Suitable for restoration work (Principle 3, Method 3.1 of EN 1504-9)
  • Suitable for preserving or restoring passivity (Principle 7, Methods 7.1 and 7.2 of EN 1504-9)
  • Suitable for increasing resistivity (Principle 8, Method 8.3 of EN 1504-9)

CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES

  • Can be overcoated with resin-based flooring after 24 hours (+20ºC, 75% relative humidity)
  • Prevents osmotic blistering in resin coatings over damp substrates
  • Easy to apply with good leveling properties
  • Impermeable to liquids, but allows water vapor permeability
  • Compatible with bituminous overlays
  • Resistant to frost and de-icing salts
  • Strong chemical resistance
  • Thermal expansion similar to concrete
  • Excellent bond to both green and cured concrete, whether dry or damp
  • Strong early and final mechanical strength
  • Excellent resistance to water and oils
  • Ideal preparation for smooth surface finishes
  • Suitable for interior use
  • Solvent-free
  • Will not corrode reinforcement steel
