Sikafloor Primer 02

Usage:

Sikafloor® Primer 02 is used for a variety of applications, including:

Application:

1. Surface Preparation:
   • The substrate must be clean, dry, and free from contaminants such as dust, oil, grease, and old coatings. For concrete floors, mechanical preparation like shot blasting or diamond grinding is recommended to achieve a rough profile for better adhesion.
2. Mixing:
   • Sikafloor® Primer 02 consists of two components, the resin (Part A) and the hardener (Part B). Mix the components in the recommended ratio until fully homogeneous. Ensure thorough mixing to avoid uneven curing.
3. Application:
   • Apply Sikafloor® Primer 02 using a roller, brush, or squeegee, depending on the surface area and desired coverage. Ensure an even coat across the entire substrate. The primer should be applied at the specified thickness according to the technical datasheet.
4. Curing Time:
   • Allow the primer to cure according to the recommended drying time in the technical datasheet, typically 6-12 hours before applying the subsequent Sikafloor® coating or system. This curing time may vary based on temperature and humidity.
5. Post-Application:
   • Once cured, apply the subsequent Sikafloor® product, such as Sikafloor®-264 or Sikafloor®-3000, as per your flooring requirements. Ensure that the primer is fully cured before proceeding to the next coating step to ensure maximum adhesion.

• Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Ensure that the container is tightly sealed to prevent moisture contamination.
• Application Temperature: Ideal application temperatures range from 10°C to 30°C (50°F to 86°F). Avoid applying in conditions of extreme humidity or at temperatures below 10°C (50°F).
