Usage: SikaFloor® 263 SL (A+B) RAL 7030 is perfect for the following applications:
- Industrial Flooring: For areas with heavy machinery, forklifts, and foot traffic, offering a durable surface resistant to mechanical wear.
- Warehouses and Storage Facilities: Provides a long-lasting, easy-to-clean surface that can withstand the heavy loads and traffic found in warehouses.
- Production Facilities: Ideal for floors in manufacturing and production areas where durability and resistance to chemicals are required.
- Food and Beverage Industry: The seamless and smooth surface resists oils, fats, and cleaning chemicals, making it ideal for food production environments.
- Pharmaceutical and Laboratories: Offers an easily maintainable floor that meets hygiene standards, perfect for laboratories and pharmaceutical facilities.
- Parking Garages and Decks: Protects concrete surfaces in parking decks, resistant to oils, fuels, and other chemicals commonly found in these environments.
- Clean Rooms: Its non-porous finish is ideal for cleanroom environments, ensuring a sanitary, easy-to-clean surface.
Application:
- Surface Preparation: The surface must be clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, oil, or any other contaminants. For best adhesion, mechanical preparation is recommended (shot blasting or diamond grinding) to create a rough surface profile for the coating to bond effectively.
- Mixing: SikaFloor® 263 SL is a two-component system, consisting of Component A (resin) and Component B (hardener). Mix the components in the recommended ratio (typically 4:1 by weight) using a mechanical mixer to achieve a uniform, homogenous mixture. Mix thoroughly for a minimum of 3 minutes.
- Application: After mixing, pour the material onto the prepared substrate and use a trowel, squeegee, or roller to evenly spread it across the surface. The self-leveling properties of the product ensure a smooth finish as the material naturally levels out.
- Curing: Allow the coating to cure according to the recommended time, typically 24-48 hours for light foot traffic and 7 days for full cure and maximum strength. Ensure that the ambient temperature and humidity are within the recommended conditions for proper curing.
- Cleaning: Immediately clean all tools and equipment with the appropriate solvent or water before the material sets to prevent hardening on tools.
Coverage Advantage:
SikaFloor® 263 SL (A+B) RAL 7030 is highly efficient and provides excellent coverage with minimal wastage. A typical coverage rate is approximately 1.5 to 2.0 m² per liter at a thickness of 1 mm. The self-leveling properties of the system ensure a uniform and smooth finish without the need for extensive finishing, reducing labor costs and application time. Its strong chemical resistance and durability make it an excellent long-term flooring solution, providing significant cost savings by extending the lifespan of the floor surface.
