Usage: Sikalite 101 is primarily used for:

Application:

1. Surface Preparation:
   • Clean the surface thoroughly, removing any dust, dirt, grease, oils, or loose debris that might affect adhesion.
   • For highly porous or rough surfaces, mechanical preparation such as grinding or sandblasting may be required to ensure maximum bonding.
2. Mixing:
   • Sikalite 101 is a ready-to-use product, but in some cases, it may be mixed with water (as per manufacturer’s instructions) to achieve the desired consistency.
   • Stir well to ensure the uniform distribution of ingredients before application.
3. Application Process:
   • Apply Sikalite 101 with a brush, roller, or trowel, ensuring an even and consistent coat on the prepared surface.
   • For bonding old and new concrete, apply the product to the prepared surface and allow it to become tacky before pouring or placing the new concrete.
   • For waterproofing applications, apply the product generously to the surface, ensuring complete coverage.
4. Curing and Drying:

   • The product is usually dry to touch within a few hours, but full curing should take longer, especially in humid conditions.
5. Reapplication:

• Coverage per coat: Approximately 1.5 to 2.0 m² per liter for typical applications on smooth concrete surfaces. Coverage may vary based on the roughness and porosity of the substrate.
• For 10 liters of Sikalite 101, you can cover approximately 15 to 20 m² per coat, depending on the surface texture and required thickness.
• Multiple coats may be required on highly porous or rough surfaces to achieve full coverage and optimal bonding performance.
