Sikament®-520 BA Star — Dual-Action Liquid Superplasticiser with Prolonged Slump Retention
Sikament®-520 BA is a highly effective dual-action liquid superplasticiser that imparts excellent slump retention for prolonged periods. It greatly improves workability and cohesion (reducing segregation and allowing greater time for placement) and provides substantial water reduction. Compatible with OPC and SRC and with pozzolanic materials such as GGBS, PFA and microsilica. Suitable for hot and tropical climates.

Storage
Store in undamaged, unopened, original sealed packaging in dry conditions, protected from direct sunlight and frost. Refer to the PDS for exact storage temperature and shelf life.
Application guide
Application guide (5 easy steps)
- Determine DosageEstablish the optimum dosage by trial mixes with the actual materials and conditions. Typical dosage ranges are given in the current Sika Pakistan PDS.
- DispensingAdd the admixture to the gauging water or pour it into the concrete mixer with the mixing water. Do not add directly to the dry mix.
- MixingMix thoroughly (a minimum wet mixing time of about 60 seconds is recommended) to obtain full water reduction and workability.
- PlacingPlace the high-workability concrete with reduced vibration; ensure formwork is secure.
- CuringCure the concrete properly, especially in hot conditions, using Sika Antisol products or moist curing.
