Usage:
Sikaplan® 12 G is ideal for:
- Mechanically fastened roofing systems.
- Loose-laid roofing applications.
- Roof detailing.
Application:
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and free from contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, and coatings that may hinder adhesion. For metal substrates, degrease with an appropriate solvent before adhesive application.
- Installation Method: Apply using Sarnacol® adhesives for fully bonded systems. The membrane is hot-air weldable, facilitating seamless installation without open flames.
- Welding: Overlap seams must be welded using electric hot air welding equipment. Welding parameters, including temperature, machine speed, airflow, pressure, and machine settings, must be evaluated, adapted, and checked on-site according to the type of equipment and climatic conditions prior to welding. The effective width of welded overlaps by hot air must be a minimum of 20 mm.
Coverage: Each roll of Sikaplan® 12 G covers:
- Length: 20.00 m
- Width: 0.77 m, 1.00 m, 1.54 m, or 2.00 m
- Roll weight: 23.10 kg, 30.00 kg, 46.20 kg, or 60.00 kg, respectively
- Thickness: 1.2 mm
- Mass per unit area: 1.5 kg/m²
Advantages:
- Proven Performance: Established track record of durability and reliability.
