Sikadur®-52 LP is a two-part, solvent-free, low-viscosity epoxy injection resin based on high-strength epoxy resins, suitable for hot and tropical climatic conditions. It is used to fill and seal voids and cracks in structural concrete such as columns, beams, foundations, decks, walls and water-retaining structures. It forms an effective barrier against water and corrosion-promoting media while structurally bonding the concrete sections together, and does not shrink on curing.

Application Guide (5 Easy Steps)

01
Substrate Preparation

Substrates must be sound, clean and free from oil, grease, old coatings and surface treatments. Prepare concrete by high-pressure water jetting or mechanical means; clean cracks of dust with compressed air.

Port & Seal Setup

For pressure injection, set appropriate injection ports and seal the crack surface (and around ports) with a suitable Sika epoxy sealing paste. Allow the seal to cure before injecting.

Mixing

Add all of Part B to Part A and mix with an electric mixer at slow speed (max 250 rpm) for at least 3 minutes to a uniform blend. Avoid entraining air. Mix only what can be used within the pot life.

Injection / Filling

Inject with suitable manual or automated equipment, maintaining slow, steady pressure, or gravity-feed into V-notched cracks until completely filled.

Cleaning

Clean tools with a suitable Sika cleaner before the resin hardens; cured resin can only be removed mechanically.
