DESCRIPTION
SikaFiber®-12 is a high-quality, 100% virgin polypropylene fibre designed to minimize plastic shrinkage and settlement cracking while improving the surface properties and durability of cement-based materials. It is treated with a surfactant to enhance initial dispersion and bonding with the cement paste. Suitable for use in hot and tropical climates.
USES
SikaFiber®-12 helps prevent micro-cracking caused by plastic and drying shrinkage in various cementitious systems, including:

PRODUCT INFORMATION

- Packaging: 0.6 kg water-soluble bags (30 bags per box, other packaging sizes available on request)

- Storage Conditions: Store in dry conditions, in unopened, undamaged original packaging, at temperatures between +5°C and +45°C. Protect from direct sunlight and frost

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
- Concreting Guidance: Follow standard good concreting practices for production and placement. Ensure proper curing of fresh concrete, especially in high temperatures, to prevent shrinkage. Use Sika® Antisol® products or wet hessian for curing.
APPLICATION INFORMATION
- Recommended Dosage: 0.6 kg/m³. Adjust dosage based on mix design, raw materials, and climatic conditions; perform trial mixes to determine the exact dosage.
- Compatibility: Compatible with all types of Portland cement, concrete containing pozzolanic materials (e.g., GGBS, PFA, micro-silica), and various Sika products including:

- Plastiment®
- Dispensing:
- Plant Mixing: Add SikaFiber®-12 after all other ingredients and water, ensuring uniform dispersion.
- Truck Mixing: Best added in the batching plant mixer, or if necessary, in the truck mixer. First add the fibre with about 30% of the mixing water, then add other ingredients, the remaining water, and mix at full speed to ensure even dispersion.
