Uses:
SikaRapid® C-100 is ideal for situations where rapid early strength development is essential, especially during the first few hours. It is used in the following applications:

• Precast concrete
• Ready-mixed concrete for early demoulding
• Slip-formed concrete
• Ready-mixed concrete where minimizing delays is critical
• Concrete mixes with blended cements

Characteristics / Advantages:
SikaRapid® C-100 accelerates the hardening of concrete, allowing it to achieve early strength within 4 to 18 hours, depending on mix design, temperature, and curing conditions. Its benefits include:

• Quicker turnaround times for formwork in precast applications
• Reduced or eliminated need for heat or steam curing
• Faster construction processes with early load-bearing capacity

  Additionally, SikaRapid® C-100 is chloride-free and does not cause steel corrosion, making it suitable for reinforced concrete.

• Composition: Nitrate-based calcium silicate compounds

• Shelf Life: 6 months if stored in original sealed packaging
• Storage Conditions: Store between +5°C and +30°C, away from direct sunlight and frost
• Density: ~1.40 kg/l at +23°C
• pH-Value: ~4.5 ±0.5
• Viscosity: ~108 mPa·s at +23°C
• Chloride Content: < 0.01% (chloride-free)
• Sodium Oxide Equivalent: < 5%

Technical Information:
Adhere to standard concreting practices and perform trials for new mix designs. Fresh concrete must be properly cured, especially in low temperatures. If the product is frozen or precipitation occurs, thaw slowly at room temperature and mix thoroughly before use. Conduct suitability tests before application.

Application Information:

• Recommended Dosage: 1.0–4.0% by weight of cement
• Compatibility: Can be combined with many Sika products, but avoid mixing with expansion-generating or shrinkage-compensating admixtures. Always perform trials before combining products.
• Dispensing: SikaRapid® C-100 can be added to the gauging water or mixed directly into the concrete mixer. If added onsite, the truck mixer should rotate for at least 1 minute per m³ and 5 minutes in total to ensure uniformity.
• Restrictions: Do not add to dry cement.
