Design a suitable shotcrete mix and verify it in field trials before the project. A low water/binder ratio gives faster setting, higher early strength and lower accelerator dosage.

Establish the accelerator dosage by preliminary testing. Dosage is typically a percentage of binder weight; overdosing can reduce final strength. Confirm the exact rate from the current Sika Pakistan PDS.

Add the accelerator at the nozzle using an accurate, constant liquid dosing system. Draw material from the bottom of the drum and do not use a filter on the suction hose.

Spray using correct nozzle angle and distance to achieve good compaction and low rebound, building up the lining in layers as required.

Thoroughly clean the dosing equipment and hoses after use as directed by the method statement.
