SikaCeram®-205 PK is a high-performance, flexible cement-based adhesive mortar, designed to be mixed with water. It is used for bonding ceramic tiles using thin bed techniques.
Applications
SikaCeram®-205 PK is suitable for the following applications:
- Installing all types of ceramic tiles, including large-format porcelain tiles
- Laying marble and natural stone tiles (provided they are not sensitive to water)
- Indoor wall and floor applications, as well as outdoor floors
- Suitable for use on water-based heating floors
- Over-tiling existing tiles in indoor spaces
- High-performance applications such as swimming pools, industrial areas, and floors subject to heavy traffic
- Spot-gluing insulating panels made of materials like polystyrene, polyurethane foam, rock wool, or glass wool

System Information
- Under normal conditions, no primer is required. However, for difficult substrates such as highly absorbent gypsum plaster or anhydrite screeds, it is recommended to prime with Sika® Primer 10. Details for primer application and consumption are provided in the relevant product data sheet.
Application Information
- Mixing Ratio: 6.75-7.25 L of water per 25 kg bag
- Fresh Mortar Density: ~ 1.9 kg/l (at +20°C)
- Consumption: Consumption varies depending on the substrate’s level, profile, and roughness, as well as tile size and application technique. As a guideline, the approximate consumption per m² is:
- Small tiles (6 mm trowel): ~ 2 – 3 kg/m²
- Normal-sized tiles (20×20 cm to 40×40 cm, 8 mm trowel): ~ 3 – 4 kg/m²
- Large tiles and double spreading (10 mm trowel): ~ 4 – 7 kg/m²
- Pot Life: Approximately 4 hours at +20°C
- Open Time: 25 minutes
