Product Overview
SikaCeram-205 PK is a high-performance, flexible cementitious tile adhesive. You mix it with water on site and use it to bond ceramic tiles with thin-bed techniques. It handles hot and tropical conditions well, so it works across Pakistan year-round.
The adhesive is CE-classified C2TE, which means improved adhesion with extended open time and reduced slip. It bonds to most common substrates: concrete, cementitious mortar, stone, brick, and existing tiles. For difficult surfaces like gypsum plaster or anhydrite screed, prime first with Sika Primer 10. Tensile adhesion strength is above 1.0 N/mm2, and it holds that strength even after water immersion, so it suits wet areas.
Uses from the official datasheet: all kinds of ceramic tiles including large-format grès porcelain, marble and natural stone that is not water-sensitive, indoor walls and floors, outdoor floors, water-based heated floors, and over-tiling on old tiles. It also handles demanding jobs like swimming pools and industrial or heavy-traffic floors, and spot-gluing insulation panels. Cementitious substrates must be at least 28 days old before tiling.

Standards & Classifications
Mixing & Application
Add 6.75 to 7.25 litres of clean water per 25 kg bag. Mix with a drill and paddle under 500 rpm until smooth, let stand 5 minutes, then remix 15 seconds. Apply with a notched trowel, cover only what you can tile within the open time, and press tiles firmly with a twisting action for full contact.
Consumption / Coverage
Small tiles, 6 mm trowel: about 2 to 3 kg per square metre. Normal tiles 20x20 to 40x40 cm, 8 mm trowel: 3 to 4 kg. Large tiles, double-spreading, 10 mm trowel: 4 to 7 kg.
Packaging
25 kg bag. Grey powder. Shelf life 6 months from production date, stored in undamaged, unopened, sealed bags in dry cool conditions between 5 and 35 degrees C, protected from direct sunlight and frost.
Storage & Shelf Life
6 months from production date, stored in undamaged unopened sealed bags in dry cool conditions between 5 and 35 degrees C, protected from direct sunlight and frost.

How much water do I add to SikaCeram-205 PK?
Use 6.75 to 7.25 litres of clean water per 25 kg bag (official Sika Product Data Sheet, October 2023). Mix with a drill and paddle under 500 rpm until smooth, let it stand 5 minutes, then remix for 15 seconds before use.
How much SikaCeram-205 PK do I need per square metre?
It depends on tile size and trowel. As a guide from the datasheet: small tiles with a 6 mm trowel use about 2 to 3 kg per square metre, normal tiles (20x20 to 40x40 cm) with an 8 mm trowel about 3 to 4 kg, and large tiles with double-spreading and a 10 mm trowel about 4 to 7 kg.
Can I use SikaCeram-205 PK for outdoor tiling and swimming pools?
Yes. The datasheet lists outdoor floors, swimming pools, and industrial or heavy-traffic floors among its uses. Its adhesion holds after water immersion, which is why it suits pools and wet areas.
How long before I can grout and use the floor?
At 20 degrees C, wait a minimum of 24 hours before grouting and before opening to foot or full traffic. The open time is 25 minutes and pot life is about 4 hours.
