DESCRIPTION
Sikafloor® CureHard-24 is a high-solids, one-component, clear liquid based on sodium silicate. It is used to harden and densify both fresh and cured concrete. By reacting with the free cement in the concrete, it enhances the material’s mechanical properties.
USES
Sikafloor® CureHard-24 is intended for use by experienced professionals on:
- Horizontal concrete surfaces (both new and old) that require a hard surface with light to moderate abrasion resistance, such as in warehouses, industrial plants, stores, shopping centers, parking structures, service stations, and hangars.
- Suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
- Dust-proofing of prefabricated concrete elements.
CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES
- Ready to use and easy to apply
- Provides improved abrasion resistance compared to untreated concrete
- Reduces dusting on concrete floors
- Enhances cleanability
- Non-yellowing
- Good penetration into the surface
- Colourless and odourless

SYSTEM INFORMATION
- System Structure: Hardener/Sealer, typically applied in 1–2 coats
APPLICATION INFORMATION
- Consumption: 0.20–0.25 L/m² per coat (this is a theoretical value, actual usage may vary based on surface porosity, profile, and wastage)
- Yield: 4–6 m²/L per coat
- Ambient Air Temperature: Minimum +5°C, Maximum +35°C
- Relative Air Humidity: Maximum 100%
- Substrate Temperature: Minimum +5°C, Maximum +35°C
Waiting Time to Overcoating
For maximum densification, the second coat can be applied 2–4 hours after the first. Ensure that previous coats are tack-free before applying additional layers.
- Temperature / Time:
- +5°C ~3.5 hours
- +10°C ~3 hours
- +20°C ~2 hours
- +25°C ~1.5 hours
Drying Time
- The surface is touch-dry after approximately 2 hours at +20°C.
- Full sealing and hardening effect is achieved after around 7 days at +20°C.
Applied Product Ready for Use
- Substrate Temperature:
- +10°C: Fully serviceable in ~6 hours
- +20°C: Fully serviceable in ~5 hours
- +30°C: Fully serviceable in ~4 hours
Note: The treated concrete surface must remain dry for at least the first 3 days to prevent efflorescence. Drying times are approximate and may be affected by ambient and substrate conditions.
