SikaGrout®-524 is a high-strength, non-shrink, cementitious construction grout for precision grouting under machinery base plates, columns and anchors. Supplied as a ready-to-use powder that only requires the addition of water, it flows readily to fill voids completely and develops high early and ultimate strengths with controlled expansion for reliable load transfer.

Storage

Store in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions, protected from frost and direct sunlight. Refer to the PDS for exact storage temperature and shelf life.

Application guide

Application guide (5 easy steps)

  1. Substrate PreparationThe concrete substrate must be sound, clean and roughened, free from laitance, dust, oil and loose material. Saturate the surface with water to a saturated surface-dry condition before grouting; remove standing water.
  2. FormworkErect liquid-tight, non-absorbent formwork with adequate clearance and a head box where needed to allow air expulsion and continuous flow.
  3. MixingAdd the powder to the measured clean water and mix with a low-speed mixer to a uniform, lump-free consistency at the required flow.
  4. PlacingPour continuously from one side to avoid trapping air, maintaining a constant head until the void is completely filled.
  5. CuringCure exposed grout promptly with wet hessian and/or a curing compound to prevent rapid moisture loss.
