DESCRIPTION
Sika® Plastiment® PR-150 is a highly effective water-reducing agent with controlled retardation, offering a broad dosage range. It is suitable for use in tropical and hot climates.

PRODUCT INFORMATION
- Chemical Base: Modified lignosulphonate
- Packaging: 1000 L flowbin (bulk supply available upon request)
- Appearance / Colour: Brown liquid
- Shelf Life: 12 months from the production date when stored correctly
- Storage Conditions: Store in original, unopened, and undamaged packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5°C and +45°C. Protect from direct sunlight and frost.
- Density: ~1.135 kg/L at +25°C
- Total Chloride Ion Content: Nil (EN 934-2)
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
- Concreting Guidance: Follow standard concreting practices when using Sika® Plastiment® PR-150. Ensure fresh concrete is properly cured, particularly in high temperatures, to prevent plastic and drying shrinkage. Use Sika® Antisol® products or wet hessian as curing agents.
APPLICATION INFORMATION
- Recommended Dosage: 0.3 – 0.8% by weight of binder
Higher dosages may be used depending on mix design, raw materials, climate conditions, and concrete requirements. Perform trial mixes to determine the exact dosage needed. - Compatibility: Sika® Plastiment® PR-150 is compatible with all types of Portland cement (OPC and SRC), concretes containing pozzolanic materials like GGBS, PFA, micro-silica, and the following Sika products:
Sikament® and Plastiment® ranges, SikaPump®, Sika® FerroGard®-901, SikaFume®, SikaFiber®, Sika Aer®, Sika® Stabilizer, Sika®-1 WT, Sika® WT-10.
We recommend performing trial mixes when combining Sika® Plastiment® PR-150 with these products or other admixtures. Consult Sika’s Technical Department for advice. - Dispensing: Sika® Plastiment® PR-150 should be added to the gauging water or poured simultaneously with it into the concrete mixer at the batching plant. Do not add directly to the dry mix. For optimal results, ensure thorough mixing for at least 60 seconds. The remaining gauging water should only be added after two-thirds of the wet mixing time to prevent excess water in the concrete.
