Sikadur®-31 CF Slow is a moisture-tolerant, thixotropic, structural 2-component adhesive and repair mortar based on epoxy resins and special fillers, designed for use at higher ambient temperatures between +25 C and +45 C. It hardens without shrinkage and may only be used by experienced professionals.

Storage

Store in original, unopened, sealed and undamaged packaging in dry conditions between +5 C and +30 C. Protect from direct sunlight.

Application Guide (5 Easy Steps)

01
Substrate Preparation

Concrete must be sound and clean; remove laitance, dust, oil, grease and loose particles by suitable mechanical preparation. Steel must be cleaned to bright metal. The substrate may be dry or matt-damp.

Mixing

Mix components A and B thoroughly in the supplied proportions until a uniform grey colour with no streaks is achieved. At high temperatures the mixed adhesive may be split into portions, or components chilled before mixing (not below +5 C), to preserve handling time. Do not mix the next unit until the previous one is used.

Application

Apply the mixed adhesive to the prepared surfaces with a trowel or spatula. As a repair mortar, use formwork where needed. Maximum layer thickness is 30 mm. Apply at ambient temperatures between +25 C and +45 C.

Bonding

When bonding metal profiles onto vertical surfaces, press uniformly and support with props for at least 12 hours, depending on the applied layer thickness.

Cleaning

Clean tools and equipment with Sika Colma Cleaner immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
