Sikadur® ADH 1414 — Epoxy Bonding Agent for Concrete Repairs (formerly MasterBrace ADH 1414)

Sikadur® ADH 1414 is a permanent epoxy adhesive for internal or external bonding of renderings, granolithic toppings and concrete to concrete. It tolerates a degree of moisture before and during curing, is insoluble when cured, and provides an even, stress-free bond whose ultimate strength is greater than the tensile strength of concrete.

Storage

Store under cover, out of direct sunlight and protected from temperature extremes. In tropical climates store in an air-conditioned environment.

Shelf life

12 months from date of manufacture (correctly stored).

Application guide

Application guide (5 easy steps)

  1. Substrate PreparationSurfaces must be clean, sound and durable, free from laitance, dust, oil and grease. Suitable substrates include steel, glazed tiles, bricks, ceramic/quarry/terrazzo tiles, worn granolithic paving and old concrete.
  2. MixingMix the pre-weighed base resin and reactor components thoroughly to a uniform colour. Mix only the quantity that can be used within the pot life.
  3. ApplicationApply the mixed adhesive evenly to the prepared substrate. Place the fresh concrete, topping or element onto the bonding coat while it is still wet or tacky.
  4. CuringAllow to cure undisturbed. The cured adhesive is insoluble and resistant to chemical attack.
  5. CleaningClean tools with a suitable Sika cleaner before the adhesive hardens; cured material can only be removed mechanically.
