Sikadur®-42 MP Slow is a three-component, multipurpose, moisture-tolerant epoxy grouting system. It provides high early strength, is non-shrink, corrosion and chemically resistant, and has high vibration resistance, making it suitable for grouting machinery base plates, bridge bearings and anchors.

Sikadur®-42 MP Slow is a three-component, multipurpose, moisture-tolerant epoxy grouting system for use at temperatures between +20 C and +40 C. It provides high early strength, is non-shrink, corrosion and chemically resistant, and has high vibration resistance, making it suitable for grouting and bedding machinery base plates, bridge bearings and anchors. It may only be used by experienced professionals.

Pre-batched 12 kg unit (A+B+C); bulk 144 kg; component C (Sikadur-514) for 24 kg units

Storage

Store in original, unopened, sealed and undamaged packaging in dry conditions between +5 C and +30 C. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep component C dry.

Shelf Life

24 months from date of production (correctly stored).

Application Guide (5 Easy Steps)

01
Substrate Preparation

Concrete/mortar must be older than 28 days, sound, clean, dry or matt damp (no standing water), and free of laitance, oil, grease, coatings and loose particles. Steel must be de-rusted to Sa 2.5. Anchor pockets must be free of water.

Conditioning

Condition the material at +20 C to +30 C for at least 48 hours before use. Product must be applied at +20 C to +30 C.

Mixing

Mix components A and B for 30-60 seconds with a low-speed drill (300-450 rpm) until uniform. Transfer to a mixing vessel and slowly add component C to the correct ratio (A:B:C = 5:1:30 by weight), mixing about 3 minutes. Never mix A and B without C. Mix only complete units.

Forming & Placing

Seal and release-treat forms and maintain a liquid head over 100 mm. Pour the grout from one or two sides only to avoid air entrapment, keeping the grout rising to 3 mm above the underside of the base plate. Place in lifts of maximum 150 mm.

Cleaning

Sweep excess grout into containers before it hardens. Remove uncured material with Sika Colma Cleaner; cured material can only be removed mechanically.
