Sikafloor®-263 SL — Self-Smoothing Pigmented Epoxy Resin Floor Coating

Sikafloor®-263 SL is a two-part, multipurpose, self-smoothing pigmented epoxy resin for flooring, typically applied at about 2-3 mm as a self-levelling wearing course or as a broadcast (textured) system. It provides a hard-wearing, chemically resistant, easy-to-clean floor for industrial and commercial areas and is available in a range of RAL colours. (Catalogue variant: RAL 1001.)

Storage

Store in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions, protected from direct sunlight and frost. Refer to the PDS for exact storage temperature and shelf life.

Application guide

Application guide (5 easy steps)

  1. Substrate PreparationConcrete must be sound, clean and dry with sufficient tensile strength. Prepare mechanically (e.g. diamond grinding or shot blasting) to remove laitance and open the surface; repair defects with a suitable Sika mortar.
  2. PrimingPrime the prepared substrate with the appropriate Sikafloor primer (e.g. Sikafloor-161) and allow the correct waiting time before overcoating.
  3. MixingMix Part A, then add all of Part B and mix with a low-speed mixer to a uniform, streak-free consistency. Mix only full units; observe the pot life.
  4. ApplicationApply within the pot life by the method specified for the system (squeegee, serrated trowel, pin rake or roller). Backroll / spike-roll as required to release entrapped air and achieve even thickness.
  5. CuringProtect from moisture, condensation and traffic during cure. Respect the recoat and full-cure times stated in the PDS before loading.
