Sika MonoTop®-620 is a one-component, polymer-modified, ready-to-mix surfacing and finishing structural repair mortar meeting the requirements of Class R3 of EN 1504-3. It is used as a concrete/mortar pore sealer, levelling mortar or thin-layer render over vertical and horizontal structural elements, and for repairing minor defects such as pores and honeycombed concrete. It can be applied over concrete, mortar, SikaTop or Sika MonoTop mortars, with or without a reinforcement mat.

Storage

Store in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions between +5 C and +35 C. Always refer to packaging.

Application Guide (5 Easy Steps)

01
Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be sound, clean and roughened by suitable mechanical means (e.g. abrasive blast or high-pressure water jetting) to achieve good adhesion. Remove all loose material, dust, oil and laitance.

Pre-Wetting

Thoroughly pre-wet the prepared substrate to a saturated surface-dry condition before application; remove excess surface water.

Mixing

Add the powder to the recommended quantity of clean water while stirring with a low-speed (<500 rpm) mixer, and mix for at least 3 minutes to the required consistency.

Application

Apply by trowel using traditional techniques or by wet-spray equipment. On a well-prepared, roughened substrate a bonding primer is generally not required.

Finishing & Curing

Finish to the required surface once stiffened, then cure the mortar properly, especially in hot conditions, to prevent premature drying and shrinkage.
