Application Guide (5 Easy Steps)

Substrate Preparation

The joint face must be sound, clean, dry and free from dust, laitance and loose material so the waterbar sits on a firm surface.

02
Positioning

Place the waterbar centrally on the joint face along the intended line, with adequate concrete cover on all sides.

03
Fixing

Fix the waterbar to the substrate as specified (adhesive/mechanical) so it stays in position during the next pour, ensuring continuous contact.

04
Jointing

Butt/overlap lengths as specified to maintain a continuous seal at joints and intersections.

05
Concreting

Cast and compact the next lift so the waterbar is fully encased, avoiding premature wetting that would trigger early swelling.
