Two-component acrylic-modified cementitious waterproofing coating (formerly MasterSeal® 550). Waterproofs and resurfaces concrete, masonry and most construction materials. Applied by stiff brush, roller or trowel to form a hard-wearing, seamless waterproof membrane. Suitable for hot and tropical climates.

SikaTop®-550 Seal is a two-component, acrylic-modified cementitious coating that requires only on-site mixing to waterproof and resurface concrete, masonry and most other construction materials. Applied by stiff brush, roller or trowel, it forms a hard-wearing, seamless, waterproof membrane and an effective barrier to water-borne salts and atmospheric gases. It can be applied to 24-hour-old concrete for early protection and is suitable for hot and tropical climates.

Application Guide (5 Easy Steps)

01
Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be sound and clean. Repair defects with a SikaRep or Sika MonoTop repair material. Pre-wet to a saturated surface-dry condition before application.

Mixing

Stir Component B, then pour about half of Comp. B into a mixing container and add Comp. A slowly while mixing to a lump-free, uniform consistency. Mix only full kits; do not add water.

First Coat

Apply the first coat by stiff brush, roller or trowel, working it well into the surface.

Subsequent Coats

Apply subsequent coats crosswise as soon as the previous coat has set sufficiently, to the required total thickness.

05
Curing

Protect from rapid drying, rain and frost. Cure the coating properly, especially in hot conditions.
