Sika®SBR 200

Concrete surfaces must be clean, sound, rough and free from oil, grease, cement laitance and loose particles, in a saturated surface-dry condition.

Mix SikaLatex-200 SBR PK with water at 1:1, then combine with fresh cement and fine sand to a homogeneous brushable slurry. Brush the slurry well onto the prepared surface.

In a suitable mixer, mix cement and aggregate to a uniform consistency, then add the required quantity of diluted SikaLatex-200 SBR PK and mix slowly for at least 2 minutes.

Apply the subsequent mortar while the bonding coat is still wet; apply by steel trowel and finish with a wooden float. Never apply pure SikaLatex-200 SBR PK or a latex-water mix directly as a bonding bridge; always add cement and sand.

Cure fresh mortar properly, especially at high temperatures, using Sika Antisol WB or polyethylene sheet and wet hessian. Clean tools with water immediately after use.
