SikaLatex® PK is a synthetic acrylic polymer dispersion used as an admixture for cementitious bonding bridges and high-quality, site-mixed modified mortars. Added to cement/sand mixes, it improves adhesion, flexibility, water resistance and durability, and is used to prime substrates before applying repair and screed mortars.

Store in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions, protected from frost and direct sunlight. Refer to the PDS for exact storage temperature and shelf life.

Application Guide (5 Easy Steps)

01
Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be sound, clean and free from dust, oil and loose material. Pre-wet absorbent substrates to a damp condition before applying a bonding slurry.

Bonding Slurry

Mix SikaLatex PK with cement (and fine sand as specified) to a brushable slurry and scrub it well into the prepared substrate.

03
Modified Mortar

Gauge SikaLatex PK (diluted with water as specified) into the cement/sand mix to produce the polymer-modified mortar.

04
Application

Apply the mortar wet-on-wet into the bonding slurry before it dries, and compact/finish as required.

05
Curing

Cure the mortar properly, protecting from rapid drying, especially in hot conditions.
