SikaWrap®-230 is a unidirectional carbon-fibre fabric used, together with a Sikadur epoxy impregnation resin, for the structural strengthening of concrete, masonry and timber elements. Storage

Store in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions, protected from frost and direct sunlight. Refer to the PDS for exact storage temperature and shelf life.

Application Guide (5 Easy Steps)

Design

The strengthening scheme, number of layers and fabric orientation must be designed by a qualified engineer to the relevant standard.

02
Substrate Preparation

Prepare the substrate to a sound, clean, even surface. Round off sharp corners for wrapping; repair defects and level with a Sikadur/Sika levelling mortar as required.

Priming & Levelling

Apply the specified Sikadur primer/levelling layer and allow the correct waiting time.

Impregnation & Application

Apply the Sikadur impregnation resin, then place the SikaWrap fabric into the resin in the design orientation, working out air with a roller and applying a top coat of resin to fully saturate the fabric.

05
Curing & Protection

Allow the system to cure undisturbed. Apply protective/finish coatings as specified for fire, UV or aesthetic requirements.
